Our Luxembourg Private Equity practice is the largest specialized Private Equity team among local audit and advisory firms with over 100 professionals. We are a fully integrated team of professionals dedicated to Private Equity, working cross-service lines and focusing on audit, advisory, valuation and transaction tax services. We serve both global accounts and smaller Private Equity players, fund administrators and custodians. We service both the world’s leading Private Equity houses and small and medium sized general partners out of Luxembourg. We are one of the leading local transaction tax experts and have been the number one provider of audit services for corporate vehicles and Private Equity funds since the inception of the related fund legislation. We have advised on the set-up of all types of Private Equity fund structures in Luxembourg and have the highest market share of audits; for example, we audit over 47% of all SICARs by volume.

Our Private Equity advisory team for local administrators and custodians is unique in the local market and has led the most significant Private Equity advisory engagements in the local market and abroad.

Our market leadership also means a strong involvement in the development of the Luxembourg Private Equity industry: our office was the only audit and advisory firm actively involved in the 2003 and 2004 working committee that drafted the 15 June 2004 SICAR law. In 2006 and 2007, we were actively involved in the working group that drafted the 13 February 2007 SIF law. In 2007 and 2008, we again assisted in the drafting of the bill of law leading to the 24 October 2008 SICAR law bringing considerable enhancements to the SICAR.
