In addition to heading the private equity practice in Luxembourg, Alain also leads our Private Equity fund practice for EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) and is a member of the Ernst & Young Asset Management Board for EMEIA. “One year on from the integration of the Luxembourg office into the EMEIA structure, results are positive. We have leveraged the know-how of our emerging markets practices to strengthen our positioning in growth markets, “comments Alain.

He continues, “Our integrated organization also represents an opportunity for our professionals who benefit from access to mobility programs and international placements which are unique in our profession. At the same time we intend to reinforce our positioning in the local business market to drive Ernst & Young Luxembourg’s contribution to the growth of the national economy”.

“We want to thank Raymond Schadeck for many years of service at Ernst & Young and for leading the EMEIA integration in Luxembourg. We are delighted to welcome Alain as the new country managing partner in Luxembourg.  As well as his experience in cross border transactions and private equity he has a deep understanding of the Luxembourg market both of which are critical to enable us to build on the success of our Luxembourg practice and our global organization,” commented EMEIA Board members Jean-Pierre Letartre and Tom McGrath.

Alain will draw on the support of a new management team which comprises Bernard Lhoest (Financial Services), Jeannot Weyer (Commercial Services), Jean-Michel Pacaud (People), Michael Ferguson (Asset Management), Michael Hornsby (Real Estate), Olivier Lemaire (Technology, Communications & Entertainment), Marc Schmitz (Commercial Services Tax), André Pesch (Financial Services Tax) et Pascal Deisges (Public Sector).
