Transparency Report
Over the past decade, we have become a highly-regulated and closely scrutinized profession. At Ernst & Young, we have welcomed this increased oversight.
From 2008, the European Union’s 8th Company Law Directive requires statutory auditors of EU public interest companies to publish an annual transparency report disclosing certain information about our audit business.
Our global Ernst & Young organisation operates through a network of member firms in 140 countries around the world. We have 152 000 people, serving the world’s leading companies and future leading companies, in both developed and emerging markets. We provide a range of auditing, accounting, tax and transactions services. Our promise is to deliver seamless, consistent high-quality client service, worldwide.
In our Transparency Report we describe how we are organized to help us deliver on this promise. We provide information regarding our:
- Legal structure
- Governance and management structure
- Commitment to quality, or quality controls and independence practices
- External quality assurance review
- Financial information
- Partner remuneration process
