Breakout sessions

The increased audit activity and controversial positions taken by tax authorities in recent times have posed greater risks and exposures for corporations. We would like to share with you our experiences and insights, both locally and globally, on emerging trends and responsive actions that you can take.

Breakout 1

Option A: Recent experiences in audits and investigations - Corporate tax and indirect taxes

This session is intended to highlight the key issues often raised during tax audits, how these audits can be managed to mitigate tax exposure and consequent penalties, and the avenues available for appeal to the Courts. Real-life examples of tax audits conducted by the authorities and how they were managed will be discussed. We will also highlight key case law developments which could impact the landscape of future audit activity.
