Pieter Jongstra  Pieter Jongstra (1956) - Sub-Area Managing Partner

Pieter Jongstra is Country Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Netherlands and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ernst & Young in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Pieter Jongstra started his career with Ernst & Young in 1982 and became partner in 1992. He worked as an auditor for national and international top clients such as DSM, TNT, Wegener, Euronext, BP and Computer Associates. In 2003, Pieter became Chairman of the Accountancy Partnership and member of the Board of Directors of Ernst & Young Netherlands. Since 2005, Pieter has been AABS leader in the board of the Central Europe Area. At the moment, he is the COO of the AABS Board within Ernst & Young EMEIA.

Gust Herrewijn  Gust Herrewijn (1953) - Deputy Sub-Area Managing Partner / Operations

Gust Herrewijn combines his role as Deputy Sub-Area Managing Partner with being the Country Managing Partner in Belgium. Gust has been part of the Belgian Executive Committee since 1989 and has been with EY since 1973. During his career Gust has held various leadership roles and served several major clients in the construction, automotive and industrial products sector: e.g. BAM Groep and VLM Airlines.

Giljam Aarnink Giljam Aarnink (1957) - Assurance

Giljam is the Chairman of Assurance in the Netherlands as of 16 November 2007. As of that date he is also a member of the Executive Committee. Giljam has been working with Ernst & Young since September 1978. He worked for Ernst & Young in the US for one year. Giljam became a partner of Ernst & Young Accountants in 1991. Between 1998 and 2002 he was a member and chairman of regional executive committee Holland Midden and Randstad Zuid. Giljam was also a member of the Dutch Advisory Council. Giljam’s primary clients are: NXP, Trafigura, Exact and Ziggo (Casema, Multikabel, Kabelcom).

Pierre Anciaux Pierre Anciaux (1953) - Q&RM

Pierre is currently AABS Service Leader and member of the Belgian Executive Committee since 1 July, 2001. Pierre joined Ernst & Young in 1976. Pierre has extensive experience in serving multinational clients in the international banking & financial sector and has been serving listed companies for more than 20 years. He has been the president of the Institute of approved Auditors appointed by the CBFA (Banks, Investment Funds and Insurance Companies) until 2006. Pierre is currently also a member of the CWEA AABS Executive Committee. Mayor clients include: ING, Belgian Post Group, Electrabel-Suez and Puilaetco Dewaay.

Kees van Boxel  Kees van Boxel (1953) - Tax

Per 1 July 2008 Kees will be the Chairman of Tax. Kees started his professional career as University lecturer at Tilburg University, before joining EY in 1984. Kees was appointed partner in 1991. Kees has been Chairman of the Combined Dutch Advisory Council as well as Chairman of the CE Advisory Council and a member of the Global Advisory Council. Kees has been Chairman of the sub service line MNC within Tax for years. Kees’ clients include Tommy Hilfiger, Odfjell, OOCL and Philips.

Marc Guns Marc Guns (1963) - TAS

Marc has been with EY since 1985 and has worked for the firm in the Antwerp,
Amsterdam and Brussels offices. Marc spent 3 years in the Amsterdam office (1990-1993) and is a qualified RA. Marc has been serving largely Dutch referred clients in AABS for 15 years, prior to becoming TAS leader in Belgium in 2002. Marc is member of the Belgian Executive Committee since July 2006 and currently holds additional leadership roles as Private Equity Leader in Belgium and as CWEA TAS Marketing Leader. Marc’s primary clients are CVC Capital Partners, CRH, De Weide Blik, Waterland PE and Fortis PE.

Bea Haring Bea Haring (1966) - People

Since 2003 Bea is Country Practice Leader of Human Capital Netherlands. Since 2004 she is member of Global Human Capital Leadership and in that role responsible for People and Learning, where she is responsible for further development of Human Capital People strategy, balancing both local and global needs to assess where HC should make strategic investments. As such she participated in Global tax people projects such as competency framework and HC short term assignment program. She also assumes responsibility for learning for Human Capital Global, since these two functions are closely intertwined.

Toine van Laack Toine van Laack (1963) - Accounts Industries & Business Development

Toine has been with EY since 1987 and has worked for the firm in Rotterdam, Singapore and Jakarta. After 20 years in AABS serving multinational clients, he is the current TAS leader in the Netherlands. He was also the chairman of the partner admission committee and he leads the NL Private Equity Focus Group. Major clients have included Vopak, Mittal Steel, Royal Numico, CSM, Basell, TBG and NXP and AkzoNobel.

Gijs de Vries Gijs de Vries (1958) - Advisory

In 1997 Gijs became partner of Ernst & Young Consulting as leader of the health care consulting group and chairman of the sector healthcare. In 2000 he was appointed as a member of the management team of consulting services within Cap Gemini and later on as director Sales & Marketing in their executive committee. He rejoined EY in January 2007 as leader of Advisory in the Netherlands and from 1 November 2007 he also became responsible for Accounts and Industries. Gijs’ clients include PGGM (pension fund), UVIT and other healthcare organizations.
