New Tax manager brings over twenty years’ experience to Ernst & Young
Mandy Connolly has recently joined Ernst & Young as manager within the Guernsey trust tax team.
Originally from the UK, Mrs Connolly began her career with Moore Stephens and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1991. She spent several years with Smith & Williamson in their Private Client and Trust department in London before moving to Guernsey to take up a position with the Praxis Group as their "in house" tax manager.
Mrs Connolly's primary focus over the last decade has been offshore trust structures and in particular, tax issues in relation to non UK domiciliaries resident in the UK and employment-related trust arrangements.
Mrs Connolly brings a high level of technical expertise to the role and her past experience within the financial services industry provides pragmatism and valuable insight into the tax-related requirements of local trust companies.
Mrs Connolly joins a specialist team which works closely with fiduciary businesses across the Channel Islands, providing a wide range of tax advisory and compliances services for trust structures.
