Alan Judge

Tax

Alan is the EY New Zealand Government and Public Sector Leader, EY New Zealand’s Financial Services Leader and New Zealand Accounts and Business Development Leader. He is the client service partner for organisations including New Zealand Defence Force, The Treasury, ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited, Inland Revenue Department and Opus International Consultants. Alan is also a member of EY’s Asia Pacific Partner Advisory Council.

Previous experience

Alan has over 25 years’ tax experience including three years as an international tax partner in London. A past Chairman of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Tax Committee involved in the development of tax policy for both National and Labour led governments, Alan continues to provide tax advice to a variety of clients.

Credentials

Alan holds a Bachelor of Commerce - University of Otago, Bachelor of Laws - University of Otago, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant - New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and has completed a Strategic Leadership Course at Harvard. He is also a member of the New Zealand Initiative.

Interests

Alan enjoys watching rugby and tennis and is a keen runner. Walking his dogs, spending time with his family and attending the opera are also favourite pastimes.
