Ben is a tax partner in EY’s Christchurch office. He has over 19 years' experience providing specialist advice, both for corporate clients and small businesses. He has extensive experience in corporate taxation across a wide range of issues from compliance to restructuring to strategic planning for future business growth. Ben also assists clients with tax structuring, tax planning and negotiating the difficult area of tax investigations and tax disputes.
Ben has wide expertise across a number of industries including manufacturing, distribution and logistics, management, engineering and research and development service providers and agriculture-based clients. Ben began his tax career with EY in Christchurch before taking a secondment to EY Sydney. He returned to Christchurch to a senior role before becoming a partner in 2007.
Ben is a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and has also completed the EY Executive Programme (Darden Business School). Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Canterbury).
Ben enjoys mountain biking, skiing, whitewater kayaking and mountain running.
