| EY profiled by ALM Intelligence (previously known as Kennedy) on its joint alliance with P&G |
Businesses need to change the productivity equation because of slow growth and competitive markets. Strategy and Operations consultants are striking this challenge in two ways. One, by helping their clients deploy new production technologies. Two, by developing advanced analytics tools. EY, motivated by two distinctive points of view, formed an alliance with P&G in 2013 centered on the latter’s Integrated Work System.
The EY-P&G partnership is distinctive as a consulting model in a number of ways. One, it arms EY and its clients with a readymade database of intellectual property. | EY partners with Hortonworks for Hadoop distribution |
The 451 Group says EY’s partnership with Hortonworks ‘makes perfect sense as a way to enhance and improve the company's open source Big Data technical expertise for clients.'
‘The market move toward Hadoop, Cassandra and AWS poses a significant challenge to those businesses, because the speed at which these technologies are evolving makes it difficult for traditional consulting and systems integration models to keep up and make money from them. Against these competitors, EY has the advantage that it has no legacy application services and IT outsourcing business to defend.'
