Research grants 2011

On 24 June 2011 the Selection Committee awarded research grants to the following four research teams:

  1. Optimisation of Polish primary healthcare financing system.

    Jerzy Baranowski, Adam Windak

  2. A Long-term assessment of the Polish disability fund and its possible reform.

    Christoph Mueller, Bernd Raffelhueschen

  3. University governance models and policy implementation.

    Dominik Antonowicz, Ben Jongbloed

  4. Efficiency of Polish courts – how to measure and improve it?

    Jaroslaw Beldowski, Stefan Voigt

Amount

The amount of a Research Grant for a research report is 60,000 PLN or equivalent in EUR (calculated on the day of payment at NBP rate).

Selection Criteria

The Selection Committee will assess the quality of the proposals on the basis of six main criteria:

  • originality of the research
  • significance of the research for stimulating public sector reform in Poland
  • extent to which the research will improve our empirical knowledge of public institutions in Poland
  • merits of the research methodology
  • extent to which the research positions Polish experiences in a comparative context
  • applicants’ ability to deliver a high quality research report within the agreed timeframe and to communicate research findings in a clear and effective manner.
