The competition program was launched on 12 March. In the first round of the competition students from across Russia endeavored to solve tax cases. They sent their answers to the jury by e-mail. We then invited the participants who proposed the best solutions to take part in the Russian final held at Ernst & Young’s office in Moscow.
The finalists were asked to solve practical problems and then a jury of international tax experts, including tax leaders from industry as well as Ernst & Young tax professionals and partners, selected three winners. They were announced at a gala event on 2 July.
We are very pleased to announce the winners in the Russian finals of the International Young Tax Professional of the Year Competition:
The prize for the best teamwork went to Team No. 3: Anastasia Konovalova, Ksenia Topolskaya, Oleg Lavrov and Anastasia Gorobchenko.
Peter Reinhardt, CIS Tax & Law Leader, comments, “I am immensely encouraged by the talent we have seen from all corners of Russia as part of this year’s competition.
