EY CIS opens office in Rostov-on-Don
Moscow, 9 July 2014. EY, a global leader in advisory and assurance, has announced the expansion of its CIS practice with the opening of an office in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. The new office is set to strengthen the firm’s leading position in the Southern Federal District and serves the growing regional demand for advisory services. With the office in Rostov-on-Don, EY’s CIS network now comprises 21 offices.
Joe Watt, EY Chairman of the Management Committee and Managing Partner for the CIS, comments: “The opening of the new office is the next natural step for EY in implementing our strategy to expand activities in the south of Russia. In 2011 we opened an office in Krasnodar. Having our people on the ground close to our clients opens new opportunities to increase efficiencies and facilitates the local transfer of international best practices. Over a couple of years, many companies from Rostov region will seek to become Russian-wide players, and we will help them to grow. We will continue to invest in our people and in building relationships with clients, thereby extending our leadership position in the Russian advisory and assurance space”.
Economic transformation and production growth rates make Rostov region one of the leaders in the Southern Federal District and in Russia as a whole.
The Rostov-on-Don office will be led by Anna Kalmykova, EY Assurance Partner, who will also manage the EY practice in the Sothern Federal District. “Rostov region has six acting industrial/investment zones with a favorable tax regime attractive for international investors. The local small and medium companies are also active and supported by the Regional Government Programs. The most sought-after services in the regional market today lie in the sphere of IFRS, tax, customs and M&A advisory,” says Anna Kalmykova.
