EY opens a new office in Tatarstan
Moscow, Kazan, 3 February 2011: EY, a global leader in assurance and advisory, announced the opening of its new office in Kazan, Tatarstan. The company made this strategic decision with the aim to promote activity in the local market. Tatarstan has a great potential. The region has demonstrated strong economic growth, attracting keen interest from foreign investors.
“Tatarstan is one of the most advanced and innovative regions in Russia”, said Alexander Ivlev, Managing Partner, EY, Russia. “For many years, we have cooperated with the regional government and companies. The office will help promote our practice in Tatarstan”.
According to President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, “making Tatarstan attractive to investments, enterprises and talent is the top strategic priority”.
EY will work with major regional enterprises. Tatarstan has one of the leading economies in Russia. Major companies in petrochemicals, machine building and consumer goods operate in Tatarstan.
“Initially, the new office will focus on assurance and advisory. Later on, we will add new service lines”, said Airat Kaveev, Head of the Kazan office. Strong economic growth and the significant potential of the local labor market make Tatarstan a good platform for major national projects.
