Martin Steinbach appointed Ernst & Young EMEIA IPO Leader
MOSCOW, LONDON, 31 October 2011 – Martin Steinbach has been appointed to lead Ernst & Young’s Europe, Middle East, India and Africa IPO Center. In his new role, Martin will be responsible for IPO and listing services.
“The IPO market is and will remain an important and major source of capital to finance growth and innovation. I look forward to helping our clients to IPO in these challenging but also exciting times,” says Martin Steinbach.
In his 17-year career Martin has held different management positions in investment banking, private equity, and at Deutsche Boerse AG. His area of expertise includes many IPOs and SPOs, M&A transactions, investor relations and technology-focused private equity deals. At Deutsche Boerse he was responsible for sales, marketing and product development in the IPO and listing business and campaign management towards retail and institutional investors. His practical experience is also founded on transactions in emerging markets working across China, Russia/CIS and India.

Martin holds an MBA and a Ph.D. from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt. He has also published books and various articles about stock markets, IPOs, investor relations, dark pools, algo trading and REITs and is a frequent speaker on international seminars.
