Russia Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 – the winner is announced!

MOSCOW, 25 NOVEMBER 2011 – The Russian winner of the Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award was announced. At the 2011 final award ceremony held on 24 November in Moscow, Petr Demchenkov, General Director of GK ALIDI (Moscow), was recognized as the winner of the national Entrepreneur Of The Year Contest in Russia. In May 2012 Mr. Demchenkov will represent Russia in competing for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year award in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Fifteen years of Mr. Demchenkov's business experience saw a career progress from a sales representative to the director of a major distribution and logistics company of a federal scale. GK ALIDI, founded in 1992 in Nizhni Novgorod, was the first Russian company to sign a distribution agreement with Procter & Gamble. Having gained successful experience in distribution, the company proceeded to investigate a new business area – contract logistics. Having taken the lead over the company in 2006, Mr. Demchenkov succeeded to win new geographical markets, thus, multiplying the company's profits.
Today, the main focus of Petr Demchenkov's attention is drawn to the organizational development of the company and creating a pool of prospective contracts with leading Russian and European producers of food and nonfood goods. GK ALIDI's plans include development of long-distance transportation and presence in CIS countries.
