Ernst & Young announces winners in the Russian round of the Young Tax Professional of the Year Award
The international tax competition program run by Ernst & Young aims to identify future tax talent
Moscow, 5 July 2012. Ernst & Young is pleased to announce that the Russian stage of the Young Tax Professional of the Year Award is now complete. The competition program was launched on 12 March. In the first round of the competition tax students from across Russia endeavored to solve tax cases. They sent their answers to the jury by e-mail. We then invited the participants who proposed the best solutions to take part in the Russian final held at Ernst & Young’s office in Moscow.
The finalists were asked to solve practical problems and then a jury of international tax experts, including tax leaders from industry as well as Ernst & Young tax professionals and partners, selected three winners. They were announced at a gala event on 2 July.
We are very pleased to announce the winners in the Russian finals of the International Young Tax Professional of the Year Competition:
First prize: Anastasia Gorobchenko (Kursk, South-West State University, 2012 graduate)
Second prize: Oleg Lavrov (Moscow, Higher School of Economics, fourth year student)
Third prize: Anton Pavlenko (Krasnoyarsk, Siberian State Aerospace University, fourth year student)
