Russia Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2012 – the winner is announced!

Moscow, 30 November 2012 – The Russian winner of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award was announced. At the 2012 final award ceremony held on 29 November in Moscow, Andrei Romanenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors of QIWI Group, was recognized as the winner of the national Entrepreneur Of The Year 2012 Contest in Russia. In summer 2013 Mr. Romanenko will represent Russia in competing for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year award in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Andrei Romanenko is a natural born businessman. He became an entrepreneur when still at school, in the 10th form, when he started to burn computer games and design covers for them.
After leaving school, he entered a private university to devote more time to business. He made his first big money in cellular communications industry.
Today, Andrei Romanenko is a co-founder of QIWI Group and of two venture funds - iTech Capital and AddVenture.
Under his leadership, QIWI terminals have become Russia’s most popular payment tool used by 80 million people each month.
