EY converts to limited liability partnership and announces leadership changes

EY in Singapore has converted to an accounting limited liability partnership - Ernst & Young LLP - with effect from 1 July 2008. The audit and assurance business of EY has been transferred to Ernst & Young LLP. A new LLP -
EY Solutions LLP - has also been registered to provide tax and transaction services with effect from 1 July 2008.

At the same time, EY has transfered its fraud investigation and risk advisory services to EY Risk Advisory Services Pte. Ltd., which is an existing company in the group.

Also effective from 1 July 2008, Ong Yew Huat has assumed the position of Executive Chairman of the Singapore firm. Succeeding him as Country Managing Partner for the Singapore firm is Steven Phan, who has served on the firm’s management committee and has been part of the firm’s leadership team since 2002.
