Overview

The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has updated its views on the belonging status of a fund in the revised e- Tax guide "GST: Guide for the Fund Management Industry" issued on 1 April 2014. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has also issued a circular on 31 March 2014 to provide certain GST updates in relation to prescribed funds managed by prescribed fund managers in Singapore.

How will the above updates affect:

  • The GST treatment of fund management and other services provided to an offshore fund?
  • The GST exemption previously obtained by a fund manager?
  • The expenses of a fund and the avenue to recover the GST incurred?

Join us at this afternoon talk where we will share the updates and issues with you.
