How the winners are chosen

An independent panel of judges will decide on the winners after undertaking a rigorous selection process.

The judges are captains of industry, leaders in their professions or academia, as well as previous EOY winners. They themselves are chosen for their expertise and commitment to entrepreneurialism.

When all nominations are received, we will undertake a thorough screening process beforehand where the nominees are evaluated based on the information provided in the nomination form. We will then meet with each nominee to gather additional information to help the evaluation process and submit the reports for the judges’ deliberation.

The judging criteria conforms to a single global standard adapted by all Entrepreneur Of The Year programs.

Assessment criteria:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Financial performance
  • Strategic direction
  • Global or community impact
  • Innovation
  • Personal integrity and influence
