What training and development will I receive in my first few years?

We place a strong emphasis on your personal, technical and career progression and you’ll also work towards a professional qualification.

Within your first 12 months, you’ll attend a number of courses including a training course at one of our European offices, followed by more pan-European courses in subsequent years. These will enlarge your knowledge of transfer pricing and enable you to build up a network of colleagues in our overseas offices.

Because you’ll interact with people who run some of the largest companies in the world – we deal mainly with CEOs, COOs, CFOs and tax directors – you'll develop consultancy skills as well as technical/economic expertise.

There are also regular training sessions in the transfer-pricing team covering technical, personal excellence and marketing topics.

The professional qualification that our graduates aim for is through ICAS, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. This is a programme that leads to you qualifying as a chartered accountant. Full study support is provided.

What opportunities will Financial Services Transfer Pricing open up?

As your career progresses, your work will entail identifying new business opportunities, participating in proposals to win client work and leading your own teams. There may be the possibility of a secondment to a different office or department, and you’ll have the chance to build up a network of colleagues from other European countries and the US. You’ll gain an understanding of business operations in a variety of companies and deepen your expertise in the commercial, financial and tax implications of business strategy. Joining one of our teams will give you an unrivalled foundation for a career in business and consultancy.
