Our five-year training programme lets you join EY straight after school or college. From an early stage you’ll gain valuable experience on client assignments, working within Advisory, Assurance, Corporate Finance or Tax. At the end of five years, you should have a professional qualification and be perfectly set up to take the next step in your business career. You’ll also be a year ahead of most graduates.
With access to an incredible combination of training and work experience, joining the EY School Leaver programme is a great alternative to the traditional university route – with the same excellent career prospects from day one. You’ll get into business and start earning straight away, building the fundamental business skills, confidence, networks and knowledge to set you on your way.
At the same time, you’ll be studying for a professional qualification, for example Chartered Accountancy – enjoying the benefits of a dedicated coach to support you. You could even qualify sooner than some graduates.
You’ll learn a lot in five years with us. By the end you’ll have gained wealth of experience in professional servicesand could be on your way to becoming a Partner with EY – if that’s the direction you want to take. How far you progress really is up to you. However long you stay with us, the experiences you have, networks you create and skills you learn will last a lifetime.
You can apply to the EY School Leaver programme in your final year at school or college. We also accept applications from students taking a gap year who have already decided against university or those who did not go to university and have chosen to start their career in professional services at a later date.
You must have Grade B or higher in GCSE Mathematics and English Language and be predicted 300 (24) UCAS points from 3 A2 Levels, or from 5 highers (not including General Studies or A2 re-sits).
There are two parts to the application process. First, you must complete our online application form and strengths assessment. We will then test your numerical, verbal and abstract reasoning skills - also online. If those things go well, there’ll be a first round interview. Then you’ll be invited to spend a day at an assessment centre and be interviewed by a partner in the firm, before being offered a place on the EY School Leaver programme.
Applications for the EY School Leavers programme are currently open. We do not have a closing date, so we advise applying early to avoid disappointment.
