What is it?

The EY Global Student Exchange is an 11-week internship. It starts with a one-week induction in one of our UK offices, followed by four weeks in one of our international offices. After that you will attend our week long International Intern Leadership Conference in Florida. It’s a great opportunity to meet over 1,500 interns and some of our business leaders from all over the world. You’ll then return home to complete the final five weeks of your internship in the UK.

Why do it?

You get all the benefits of a summer internship, plus a special perspective on how we cross borders when we work together to deliver our services. The time spent abroad means you’ll understand exactly what it means to work on an international level as part of a truly global business.

We will pay for your flights, accommodation and work visas, and if you perform well on the programme you may be offered a Graduate job.

Who can join?

The programme is open to the following students:

  • Penultimate year students.
  • Final year students confirmed to be taking a gap year or enrolled on a Masters course.

You will also need to obtain a work visa for your international placement. Visa requirements vary between country.

How do I apply?

You’ll need to complete our online application form and Strengths Assessment (we’ll send you the link when you’ve submitted your online application form).

Entry requirements:

  • Grade B or above GCSE Mathematics and English Language;
  • At least 340 (28) UCAS points (excluding General Studies and re-sits);
  • A predicted 2:1 degree in any discipline *

* While students from all degree disciplines are welcome to apply for the GSE programme, some countries have restrictions on the subjects which qualify for work visas. If you are successful in securing a place on the GSE programme, EY will advise you of your eligibility based on the international placements available.
