Over the course of five-years you'll study for a professional qualification, for example Chartered Accountancy, and will work at Ernst & Young from your first day. At the end of your five years you'll be professionally qualified with a considerable amount of experience of accountancy in the real world.

Why join the Ernst & Young School Leaver programme
If you want to get into the business world but don't want to go to university, the School Leaver programme gives you access to an incredible combination of training and work experience. It'll give you excellent technical skills in accounting, develop your personal skill set and could help you qualify as an accountant sooner than many graduates.
You can start work straight away, whilst also studying towards a professional qualification. The people you meet and the business experience you gain will set you apart from your peers.
You'll get plenty of support too from your mentor and a structured learning process to help you through the training.
Your journey with us will run alongside that of someone going to university. At the end of the five years your career and salary will be the equivalent to that of our other qualified graduates. It's simply a different route to the same excellent career.
We'll pay you a full salary for five years and fund your qualifications, and there are no student debts to worry about.
Those in England will work towards their professional qualification through the ICAEW, and whilst those in Scotland will do so through ICAS.

I haven’t studied A-levels, will I still be considered?
As long as your qualifications are equivalent to the A-level grades and you meet the UCAS points.
What will my salary be?
It will be competitive.

What professional qualification will I study?
EY School Leaver Programme: This will vary on your location and the service line to which you are applying.
School Leaver Programme in England (Audit & Tax): ICAEW As part of your training with us you will be studying towards the Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB) over 2 years which is offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and is the first level of the ACA qualification. After this, depending on exam and work performance you will continue with a professional qualification that meets the needs of your service line.
