What is it?
A six-week summer programme that’ll get you fully involved with life and work at Ernst & Young.
To begin with, we’ll get you trained in the fundamental business skills you’ll need. And as the pace picks up, you’ll soon be doing the same kind of work as our graduates.
You’ll be part of a team working with our clients in one of our four main business areas: Advisory, Assurance, Corporate Finance and Tax.
Why do it?
It’s great for your career prospects. If your internship goes well, there’s a good chance you’ll be offered a graduate position within the team you’ve been working for. That means the pressure to find a job when you’re back at university is off – you can slot back into a team you’re already familiar with, once you finish your degree.
But there’s much more to it than that. You’ll benefit from constant training, career counselling and personal development coaching from a really expert mentor. And because the work you do will be as complicated and important as our graduates’ work, you’ll really be able to stretch yourself and make a positive contribution. (It’ll make your last year feel like a piece of cake, too.)
Finally, if you do really well then you might be able to go to our International Intern Leadership Conference (IILC) in Florida.
When does it happen?
We will be running three Summer Internship schemes. Scheme dates vary across our UK offices:
*Please note - London interns will start their induction on Saturday 23rd June 2012
