Dean Hodcroft  Ernst & Young, London Partner, UK&I Head of Real Estate

Dean is Head of Real Estate for UK and Ireland and has spent 22 years with Ernst & Young, gaining Real Estate experience from day one. His experience includes dealing with Owners, Investors, Funds, Fund Managers, Lenders, Occupiers and support service providers, domestic and international, to the Real Estate Industry.

After making partner in 2001, Dean led our Real Estate Tax group for the UK and was subsequently appointed as Head of our Real Estate Industry practice for EMEIA. In this role Dean led a team of 3,000 professionals throughout EMEIA providing assurance, taxation, transaction and advisory services to the Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction Sectors.

Russell Gardner  Ernst & Young, London Real Estate Tax Leader

Russell is the corporate tax partner who leads our real estate tax business in London. He joined Ernst & Young in 2000 prior to which he spent six years working for another large global professional services firm. Russell specialises in tax advice on significant real estate and leisure transactions and UK and International tax structuring of real estate businesses and investments.

Fraser Greensields  Ernst & Young, London Real Estate TAS Leader

Fraser Greenshields is the partner in charge of the Real Estate Corporate Finance team of Ernst & Young. The team provides lead advisory services across the real estate spectrum, currently dominated by restructuring of real estate investors, traders and developers. More generally, the practice is focused on Capital Raising, M&A and Occupier Advisory.

Prior to joining the firm, Fraser was with The Royal Bank of Scotland where he was a Managing Director within its Private Equity Group. Prior to this he was Global CFO and COO of Structured Finance at RBS, which incorporated the bank's structured lending and investing activity including real estate finance, project finance, leverage finance, private equity and principal finance, asset finance and leasing.

Mark Wesley  Ernst & Young, London Real Estate Advisory Leader

Mark is the partner who leads our Real Estate Advisory practice. He has 20 years experience in the real estate sector advising government and major corporate occupiers on their strategic business issues and how they impact on property both within the UK and overseas. His primary focus areas cover real estate strategy, cost reduction, FM and supply chain, business planning, risk management, property development and value creation strategies, and overall performance improvement.

Michael Hornsby  Ernst & Young, Luxembourg Partner, Head of Real Estate, Asset Management for EMEIA

Michael Hornsby has a Bachelor of Science degree from Imperial College, London University, is an ICAEW chartered accountant, a réviseur d'entreprises in Luxembourg and registered accountant (expert comptable). An officer in the British Chamber of Commerce and in the CCAB, the overseas representative of the international UK and Irish institutes, Michael is also a member of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) Real Estate working committee and of the reporting committee of the European Association for Investors in non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV), and was project leader of the "Guidelines integration project".

With 20 years of experience in audit and business advisory, Michael currently heads the Ernst & Young EMEIA Real Estate Asset Management practice. He is a member of the EMEIA Asset Management Board and of the Global Real Estate Board, specializing in international Real Estate and Private Equity structures. Michael is experienced in the design and launch of operating and governance structures and has played a leading role in the development of the financial frameworks of such funds, including NAV methodologies, accounting standards, valuation methodologies and performance measures through his role at ALFI and INREV.

Michael is fluent in English and French.
