EY has today announced the appointment of Mark Hutchinson as a Partner to its advisory practice. This appointment forms part of the firm’s ambitious plans to be number one in the UK advisory market by 2020.

Mark, who was previously a Partner and Head of Management Consulting at KPMG, will focus on large scale transformation projects. He will work alongside FTSE 100 multinationals on cost reduction and corporate re-organisation, enterprise wide performance improvement and financial transformation including outsourcing.

Mark’s appointment comes as the advisory practice at EY has achieved its third year of double-digit global growth.

Mark, who brings over 20 years of experience to his new role, says that it is an exciting time to be joining EY. “We have set ambitious but achievable growth targets for the next six years; based on the strength of demand we are seeing for advisory related services from clients. Companies are starting to ramp up their activity once again, as we enter the early stages of economic recovery, and they are looking to advisors to help them manage this growth.”

Harry Gaskell, Head of EY’s advisory practice in the UK & Ireland said: “I am delighted to welcome Mark to the team and I have no doubt that he will play a significant role in our ambitious growth plans and help reinforce the firm’s position as the leading provider of advisory services in the UK.”
