Tony has 17 years experience dedicated to the sector and is responsible for the renowned £200bn investment price tag for moving our power network into a low carbon future. Tony's focus is primarily on thermal power generation and its critical role in delivering affordable, reliable and environmentally sound power as an economic enabler in both developed and developing nations. His experience covers assignments ranging from policy advisory work for the Government on the recent energy review, with specific focus on nuclear generation, to responsibility for the audit of the UK’s electricity trading arrangements. Ben has global responsibility for Transaction Advisory Services provided to the environmental sector. The Environmental Finance Team provides Government procurement and policy advice, project finance, and mergers and acquisitions advice to governments, investors and project developers in the energy, waste and water sector, and finance raising and M&A advice to clients in the cleantech sector. Ben has 15 years’ experience advising clients on funding solutions and corporate finance across EMEIA, the US and Asia. He is author of our Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Indices and has published a large number of articles covering all aspects of Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance. Matthew has been at Ernst & Young for 22 years spending the last 20 years specialising in corporate finance, and the last 10 years focusing on the Infrastructure sector, working with a large number of Infrastructure funds and other investors across a variety of sectors and geographies. He has also completed a secondment to the Corporate Finance Department of a major listed UK Plc allowing him to add real commercial insight to the advice he gives. He has extensive experience of both private and public transactions, as well as of delivering complex and high profile transactions. He has a significant amount of experience in providing acquisition and vendor due diligence advice to clients undertaking transactions across the Infrastructure and energy sectors and has performed reviews within the water, gas, electricity and renewable energy sectors. Andy is responsible for our transaction advisory services to the global oil industry. He has been with Ernst & Young for twenty years, during which time he has worked on a wide range Acquisition, Divestment and IPO projects across the Energy sector. Andy has advised oil and gas companies on a variety of public and private transactions covering both upstream and downstream operations in over 20 countries. Andy has a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (London) and is a UK Chartered Accountant. Areas of Expertise
