Welcome!

The renowned Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum event series is coming to Africa in March 2012.

Africa is on a fast-growth journey: over the past decade, the continent's economic output has more than doubled, and six of the ten fastest growing economies in the world were African. South Africa's recent membership of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) group and also of the G20, has also marked the region as one to watch. The exciting developments in Africa are creating a business environment rich with opportunities, and the continent is therefore an obvious choice for the next prestigious Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, taking place in Cape Town from 1-2 March 2012.

This two-day event will convene CEOs, leading entrepreneurs, investors, industry experts and government officials all with a passion for unlocking value in Africa to ensure she achieves her potential. It will provide you with an unparalleled opportunity to meet valuable contacts — potential customers and partners — and to network, learn and hear inspiring stories from some of Africa's most successful business people. Uniquely, the Forum gives you the opportunity to build your own personal agenda and meeting schedule, including private breakfasts, additional lunch sessions and private meetings with investors, keynote speakers and others in your sector.

The themes addressed will be of particular relevance to companies keen to capitalise on the growth opportunities Africa offers, including where the opportunities are emerging, key challenges of doing business across the continent, innovative ways of doing business that are unique to Africa, and how to effectively access and manage capital for growth in the region.

The Forum also provides an exclusive networking opportunity to connect with like-minded business leaders from Africa and around the world. There will also be a chance to seek out other perspectives and ideas, as you explore this prestigious network on a more personal level at the gala dinner on 1 March.

We are also delighted that Lewis Gordon Pugh, OIG, the first person to swim in the North Pole and recently appointed to help improve the mind-set of the South African Springbok rugby team in the preparation for the 2011 Rugby World Cup, will be our closing speaker. He will speak about the power of the mind to overcome obstacles, and end our conference by inspiring us all to think beyond the possible.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

Sincerely,

Ajen Sita  Andrea Vogel
