Integration and synergies

We provide clients with the advice and tools to help them successfully integrate an acquired business or implement a joint venture. The focus of our work is on defining the integration strategy and supporting the delivery of planned synergies and securing value. We assist in navigating the issues and pitfalls when setting up an efficient integration program, and provide hands-on support for integration planning and implementation.

It is also never too late – some deals have failed to realise synergy opportunities, but latent deal synergies can often be achieved by challenging the new operating model.

Our Portfolio Synergy Matrix is a framework we use to help our clients with their synergy assessment and delivery.

By using this framework we provide a link between the quantum of synergy and the scale of change to the business required to achieve value.

Our model helps businesses focus their time and effort in the right areas to deliver the optimal returns in an integration.

Our methodology of articulating synergy benefits looks at each synergy area independently, then ranking them based on size of benefit (£), time to deliver (days/months) and cost to deliver (£). The second step is to class each synergy into one of four categories.
