Infrastructure Advisory

Our dedicated Infrastructure Advisory team focuses on Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects.

Comprising a network of 170 specialists throughout the UK, our dedicated Infrastructure Advisory team focuses on Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects including the Private Finance Initiative (PFI). We have been involved in more than 700 such projects, over 230 of which have reached financial close. In 2008, we were once again ranked among the top advisers worldwide – see our ranking. We were also awarded "PPP Financial Advisor of the Year 2007" by Infrastructure Journal.

Our expertise in key infrastructure sectors from energy to transport enables us to provide specialist independent advice to both private and public sector clients. Ernst & Young delivers a multi-disciplinary service with access to a key network of contacts in both the public and private sectors.

BSF: bidders’ views of a changing funding market

The Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Programme has gained significant momentum with a large number of projects due to reach financial close on initial and subsequent phases in 2009. Our survey focused on those consortia currently active or planning to bid on future BSF schemes. The BSF programme represents the largest sector by deal volume within the UK PFI market and as such is considered to provide a representative view across PFI projects.
