2011 Central Midwest judges

The success of the program relies on the efforts of our independent panel of judges. These past Entrepreneur Of The Year® award winners and civic and community leaders devote significant effort to review and deliberate the merits of each nominee. We deeply appreciate their dedication to this process.
    

Central Midwest Judge: Barton Tim Barton 
Tim currently serves as the CEO of Freightquote.com. The company provides its customers with tools that make freight transportation management faster, easier and more cost-efficient. Tim is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2002 Technology Award winner.
 
Central Midwest Judge: Bloomhall John Bloomhall 
John serves as the President and CEO of Diamond V Mills, Inc. as the third-generation family member to lead the company. The Iowa-based company, with international operations, is in the animal nutrition field as a supplier of nutritional fermentation products.
 
Central Midwest Judge: Ceryanec Joe Ceryanec 
Joe is Vice President and CFO for Meredith Corporation, a publicly traded company. Headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, Meredith Corporation is one of America’s leading media and marketing companies, publishing Better Homes and Gardens, Parents and Fitness to name a few.
 
Central Midwest Judge: Hinshaw Juanita Hinshaw  
After serving as Senior Vice President and CFO for Graybar Electric Company, Juanita formed her own financial consulting firm, H&H Advisors. In addition, Juanita serves on the Board of Directors for Insituform Technologies, Williams Companies, and Synergistics.
 
 Michael D. Peck  
Mike is the Managing Partner of Open Prairie Ventures’ Kansas City office. As one of three partners, he is responsible for portfolio and deal management and fund-raising at the early-stage, technology-focused venture capital firm.
 
Central Midwest Judge: Radtke Jay Radtke  
Jay is a Director for Mason Wells, a private equity firm focused on control-oriented buyout investments of middle market companies located in the Midwestern United States with a focus on engineered products and services, outsourced business services, and packaging and packed goods.
 
Central Midwest Judge: Simmons Thad Simons  
Thad is President and CEO for Novus International, Inc. Novus is a privately held, international company focusing on animal health and nutrition. Thad is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010 Bioscience Award winner and was a national finalist and a 2010 national winner.

Jeannine retired from Sprint Corporation at the end of 2005, where she was the Chief Integration Officer. Today, she works with several corporate as well as non-profit boards.
