Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Program - Northern California Region - Ernst & Young - United States

Judging process

Each year, seven to 10 award recipients are selected in several award categories by our independent panel of judges. Final determination of the number of categories and awards presented are the decision of the regional judging panel based on the quantity and quality of the completed nomination forms.

Nominee must be an owner/manager who is primarily responsible for the recent performance of the company and an active member of top management. The company must be at least two years old.

What the judges look for in a nominee:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Finacial performance
  • Strategic direction
  • Community impact
  • Innovation
  • Personal integrity and influence

Categories 
Final determination of the number of categories and awards to be presented will be decided by the regional judging panel based on the quality and quantity of the completed nominations forms submitted. National awards will be presented in the following categories. The Regional Judging Panel will place the regional award winners in the most appropriate national category for consideration at the national level.
