When does the 2011 nomination process begin and how do I receive notification?
Our call for nominations usually begins in mid-January. To ensure you are notified, please email Wendy Fox with a request to be added to the distribution list.
Who can submit a nomination for consideration?
Anyone who is associated with a successful entrepreneur can nominate a candidate. This includes spouses, employees, bankers, attorneys, public relations managers or entrepreneurs themselves. Self-nominations are encouraged! After all, no one knows the dimensions of an entrepreneur's success better than the entrepreneur.
Are application forms kept confidential?
Yes. The information on the application form will be used by Ernst & Young (in connection with the administration of the award), the sponsors (non-financial information), and the independent national and regional panels of judges.
Who are the judges?
The regional and independent panels of judges include entrepreneurs and prominent leaders from academia, business and the media.
How many award recipients will be selected?
Each independent regional judging panel selects categories and award recipients based on the quality and quantity of the nominations received. Each independent panel of judges is allowed complete discretion in determining categories and award recipients.

When are the Entrepreneur Of The Year national awards?
The annual Entrepreneur Of The Year awards is held in Palm Springs in November. The 2011 event takes place 9–12 November 2011. The highlight of the weekend is Saturday evening's national awards gala, where the national finalists and winners are named. Entrepreneur Of The Year is the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, a weeklong gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
What is the Entrepreneur Of The Year Hall of Fame?
The Entrepreneur Of The Year Hall of Fame was created to celebrate accomplishments of the world's great entrepreneurs and to make the general public more aware of the benefits they provide to the world economy and our global communities. All regional Entrepreneur Of The Year winners are inducted into the Entrepreneur Of The Year Hall of Fame.
What is the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award?
The year's country winners from around the world gather in Monte Carlo, Monaco, to be inducted into the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Academy and to vie for the title of World Entrepreneur Of The Year. Today more than 40 countries worldwide are participating. The 2011 Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year awards will be held on June 4 in Monte Carlo. Entrepreneur Of The Year is the only global business recognition program held on six continents in more than 50 countries and more than 140 cities around the world.
