Participants networked, exchanged ideas and heard a special Q&A session where Ernst & Young Chairman and CEO Jim Turley interviewed former President George W. Bush. There were also a series of interactive discussions on job creation, entrepreneurs giving back, globalization and US competitiveness.
The reunion was hosted by Ernst & Young and world-class CEOs, who are among the most prominent EOY winners. Among them were Herb Kohler, president and chairman of the Kohler Company, Wayne Huizenga, owner and Chairman of Huizenga Holdings, Inc. and Arthur Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot and owner of the Atlanta Falcons. Herb and Jim Turley led a discussion on Globalization and US Competitiveness.
Tom McGrath, Ernst & Young's Senior Vice Chair of Markets, led the discussion on entrepreneurs giving back, and Steve Howe, Ernst & Young's Americas Area Managing Partner, conducted the discussion on job creation.
"The reunion is the first in a series of events for our EOY alumni that are designed to keep them involved in the program and to help all of our alumni network with each other, grow their businesses and support other entrepreneurs," says Maria Pinelli, Ernst & Young's Director Strategic Growth Markets. "The EOY community also provides outstanding new business opportunities for our firm, as these entrepreneurs are continually looking to grow their companies and, in some cases, are starting new ones."
