Manoj Bhargava, best known for his top-selling brand 5-Hour Energy, is CEO and Founder of Living Essentials and Innovation Ventures. Despite his success, Manoj is clearly not a man driven by personal wealth. After one year attending Princeton University, he decided to take a different path, leaving school and seeking his education by pursuing life. After driving a taxi, working as a day laborer, and living and studying for 12 years in an Indian ashram, Manoj developed a philosophy of simplicity and helping others.
As an entrepreneur, Manoj wants to bring to market products that will enhance the human experience and have a positive impact around the world. He is always looking for the right inventions. He relies on his carefully assembled team to help identify market needs that can be addressed through new technologies or through new approaches with old technologies. Before Manoj and his team will market a product, it must be able to yield a significant positive impact on a large number of people and simultaneously make economic sense for the buyer and the seller.
Always thinking about others, Manoj gives approximately 90% of his wealth to the neediest in India, supporting health and education efforts through the Rural India Supporting Trust.
