The start of a new school year is always an exciting time on college campuses across the country. This school year’s start marks a new chapter in life here at EY as well. On 1 July, Mark Weinberger became our new Global Chairman and CEO.

With the selection of Mark Weinberger as our new Global Chairman and CEO and a new strategy guiding our organization, we are taking the opportunity to simplify our brand name and redesign our logo. From 1 July 2013 we will be called EY. Shortening our name will provide consistency and ease of use for EY teams and clients around the world. We have also redesigned our logo, taking the opportunity to reflect our name clearly in the design.

As you each start this school year, I’m pleased to share information about the new start that EY is making in leadership, strategy and brand. Steve Howe, Americas Managing Partner for EY, discusses our shared goal of developing future leaders and how that goal is helping us build a better working world. Listen to Steve as he discusses the importance of learning and development at EY and how they play major roles in Vision 2020, our road map for the future.

As we look into this recruiting season, I’m also proud to share that, based on the preferences of almost 94,000 business students from the world’s top academic institutions in the largest 12 economies by gross domestic product (GDP), EY is now the second most attractive employer globally and the highest ranking choice among leading professional services organizations according to Universum’s annual World’s Most Attractive Employer ranking. This honor is a great reflection of how we’re striving to build a better working world.

We’re pleased to partner with you to develop the next generation of leaders for our profession. As you look forward into this new school year, I hope that you’re seeing as much excitement and promise on the horizon as we are here at EY.

Regards,
