That's why an internship at Ernst & Young is a great way to apply what you've learned in school, test the waters of the professional world and build a strong foundation for achieving your career goals.
You'll see how we offer you a world of opportunities to grow and achieve your potential no matter what your ultimate career choice. As an intern here, you'll be part of a global organization, working alongside committed professionals as you develop the skills you'll need to succeed. And your formal and informal learning begins right from day one. So if you want to experience working on real projects and are prepared to meet high expectations, apply for an internship with us.
This is an opportunity to experience professional life and get a head start in your career before you've left university.
You'll need some foundational knowledge to be successful in your Internship, so your first week will be dedicated to orientation and training. We'll equip you with the essentials and help you rapidly develop your capabilities through a series of learning exercises – including on-the job training, coaching and technology training. You'll also receive functional and technical instruction related to one of our core practices: Assurance, Advisory, Tax and Transaction Advisory Services. You'll then be ready for business, handling tasks similar to those we give to our first-year graduates.
As part of a team, you'll benefit from the knowledge and experience of established professionals, including partners. This will give you an idea of where your ambitions can take you. But you can be assured our Ernst & Young internship takes place in an inclusive and supportive environment that respects the individual and what he or she brings to the table. We're looking to recruit future leaders through our Internships, so this is an opportunity to show us what you're made of.
In addition to your formal training, you'll be learning important things like effective writing, presentation and teaming skills right on the job.
Our intern assignments are as varied as our business. You'll gain exposure to a variety of clients and industry sectors. This will give you insight into the business and a good understanding of life at Ernst & Young. Your client may be a high profile multinational corporation or an entrepreneurial operation. You may conduct internal control reviews on an audit, help perform tax planning or assist in developing marketing strategies for Ernst & Young as part of our core business services group.
You want your Internship to be a valuable and challenging experience. So do we, which is why we appoint a counselor to provide regular feedback and guidance. He or she will be your main point of contact during your time with us and will be responsible, along with your peer advisor or mentor, for helping you develop professionally and personally.
You'll make plenty of contacts and connections during your internship. To help strengthen these relationships, we recommend you get involved in the many opportunities and events on offer. You might also choose to become an ambassador for Ernst & Young upon your return to university.
We brought together more than 1,800 interns from around the world at our four-day intern leadership event held at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. At Ernst & Young's annual IILC, you'll network with peers and our professionals from around the world and meet Ernst & Young leaders, gaining insights into our strategy and vision. In addition, you'll develop skills through professional workshops and teambuilding activities and gain a clear understanding of the scope and range of possibilities that Ernst & Young can offer. And, you'll have a lot of fun!
