EY’s Finance Management Consulting Capabilities Cited As Market Leader
New York, 17 October 2011 – Ernst & Young LLP today announced that the global EY organization was cited as a market leader in Kennedy Consulting Research & Advisory’s Finance Management Consulting Marketplace 2011-2014 report due to its financial management capabilities. The Kennedy report recognized EY as a “Vanguard” Finance Management Consulting practice, which is a reflection of the depth and breadth of the organization’s capabilities, its current state of service offerings, and its momentum in the marketplace.
Kennedy evaluated 10 providers, including the Big Four, across various segments of the finance management consulting market. Each provider was evaluated on its finance strategy, finance and accounting processes, regulatory expertise, and reporting and analytics. EY was the only provider to be given “outstanding” ratings for Finance Strategy & Vision, Finance Function Organization, and Finance & Accounting Processes capabilities.
“In these difficult times our clients are seeking ways to reduce costs and create value by delivering high value services to the internal clients of the Finance and Accounting functions,” said Tom Cucuzza, Finance Competency Leader for Ernst & Young LLP. “At EY, we help our clients find opportunities to create value and execute programs that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function, as well as helping the business create value through improved insight, risk management and business performance management. Our organization’s global delivery capabilities, deep subject-matter knowledge, and standard methodologies, which Kennedy recognized in its report, has differentiated us in the marketplace and delivers value to the clients we serve.”
The report highlights a number of EY key strengths and particularly recognizes its Finance Performance Improvement consulting and the global organization’s Centers of Excellence, which, as the report notes, “will be devoted to industry-specific topics in order to share knowledge and expertise around industry business problems.”
“EY ranked no. 2 globally in terms of revenues in finance strategy and in finance organization,” noted Dan Daly, vice president and managing director at Kennedy. “This is primarily due to the breadth and depth of its capabilities in finance strategy and vision, finance function organization and finance and accounting processes.”
EY’s ratings and ranking reflects its global market position as a leader of finance and accounting advisory services. “EY has implemented consistent global methods to build upon its strengths in finance and accounting for clients and has streamlined its operating model and approach to global advisory deployment to provide clients with better resources faster,” noted the Kennedy report.
The Finance Management Consulting Marketplace 2011-2014 report examines the broad range of advisory services and consulting projects delivered by consulting professionals employing financial and related competencies to assist clients in the assessment, quantification, controls and remediation of risk, including elements of internal audit.
