Cape Town Alumni Event
Our annual alumni cocktail party was held in September at the office on Lower Long Street.
Over 100 people attended this year’s event set in an Asian street scene. The theme was “fresh and innovative” and our alumni were served street food prepared live and master-class style.
Reeza Issacs, lead partner for the Western Cape brought the crowd up to date on movements of various partners within the firm and Ajen Sita, CEO for Ernst & Young Africa focussed on our footprint in Africa as well as awards and new business won in the past year.

Durban Alumni Event
Our annual alumni event was held at the office overlooking the Indian Ocean.
The theme for this year’s event was “fresh and innovative”. The innovative part of the evening included an interactive cocktail bar, real-time photos sent to your smart phone, as well as wireless cocktail tables capable of tweeting, uploading your photographs from the evening and navigating the Ernst & Young website – everything needed for a modern networking evening.
Sugan Palanee, lead partner of markets as well as Kwa-Zulu Natal was the speaker of the evening and updated alumni on firm movements, awards and achievements.

Johannesburg Alumni Event
The Wanderers office was full of familiar faces during our annual alumni event in October.
Following on from the Durban and Cape Town events earlier in the year, our alumni enjoyed all the “fresh and innovative” elements from the previous events, especially the display of daring liquid nitrogen cocktails.
Ajen Sita, CEO for Ernst & Young Africa welcomed and updated alumni on the firm, including new business won, partner movements and our footprint in Africa.
Returning to Ernst & Young, newly appointed partner, Sifiso Sithebe toasted the alumni and gave an interesting perspective of returning to the firm and the growth he has seen.
