Steps to the top
1. Call to entry: Nominations must be submitted on the official nomination form. All financial information submitted on the nomination form is confidential and is viewed only by Ernst & Young and the judges.
2. Interviews: When all nominations are received, we review the entries and short list qualifying nominees for interviews. The on-site interviews with the short listed nominees will be conducted between July and August in agreement with the qualifying nominee. By mid-September the successful finalists will be informed and announced to the public through the national media.
3. Judging: All the judges in the Awards Programme are business people who have achieved success in their own right. Thus all nominees are judged by their peers. Many of our judges are former winners of the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Awards, therefore ideally placed to recognise the vibrant entrepreneurial talent which marks our deserving winners of tomorrow.
4. Finalists retreat: Before the judging day, finalists have the opportunity to network, share ideas and success stories with other finalists, their peers and judges. This is a perfect environment to meet like-minded people and to make an impression during the presentation slot each finalist is granted.
5. Judging and awards ceremony: Each finalist will have a private meeting with the panel of judges before the winners are announced. In additional to the broader business community and media, there is a highly influential group directly involved in the various elements of the World Entrepreneur Awards. This group is spread regionally and includes judges, nominators, alumni, our directors and staff, the sponsors' management and staff. Winners will be announced at the gala dinner and awards ceremony.
