Ernst & Young’s Africa attractiveness survey provides evidence of the growing interest in the African continent as an investment destination and place to do business. A window of opportunity remains open, but the perception gap is being bridged and competition across the continent is intensifying. Our experience is that the emphasis among those investing into African markets is increasingly shifting from “why” and “where” to “how”; from concept to reality; from strategy to execution.

The focus of this year’s Forum will therefore be on the practical realities of growing and doing business in and across the African continent. CEOs, leading entrepreneurs, investors, industry experts and government officials will convene, providing an unparalleled opportunity to network, learn and hear stories from those who are successfully growing and making a difference across Africa. The themes addressed will be of particular relevance to companies wanting to capitalise on the growth opportunities Africa offers: where the opportunities are emerging, key challenges of doing business across the continent, and how these challenges are being addressed by business pioneers and governments.
