Oceania Talent Leader, Partner Matters Director

As Oceania Talent Leader, McGregor leads a team of professionals who advise the business on people strategy. The Talent team develops and delivers initiatives that attract, retain and develop our people.

In his role as Partner Matters Director, McGregor is responsible for managing all aspects of partner performance management, recruitment, compensation reviews and partner payroll.

Previous experience

McGregor has over 15 years’ experience in human resources with EY and previously, Andersen.

His career has spanned a number of HR roles, from his first position as an Executive Assistant in the HR team at Andersen where he worked closely with the Managing Partner on partner matters.

Subsequent roles have included HR generalist for Core Business Services, Assurance and Advisory teams and senior HR manager for Transaction Advisory Services.

In 2008 McGregor was promoted to Regional HR Director, working closely with the Markets Leader on firmwide strategic initiatives in the people area. In 2010 McGregor was appointed as the Oceania HR Director and Partner Matters Director. 2011 saw him become Oceania Talent Leader.


McGregor has an under-graduate degree in Business (Management) and a post-graduate diploma in Accounting from Monash University. McGregor is also a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.


McGregor is married with 2 young children. He enjoys playing golf and tennis.
