Within our Assurance practice, we look for students with an accounting major so that you can commence the Chartered Accounting Program shortly after joining EY.

Tax

Our Tax practice considers students studying accounting, business, commerce and law.

Advisory

Our Advisory Service Line is interested in students from all degree backgrounds including business, commerce, engineering, technology, science, human resources, organisational psychology and law. Within Advisory, you may join the Advisory Consultant Group (ACG) where you will focus on either Risk or Performance Improvement. If you are interested in IT consulting and digital solutions, we encourage you to apply to our Performance Improvement – IT Advisory team.

Students who have a background and interest in both accounting and information technology may be interested in joining our Risk Assurance team.

Assurance

In Assurance, the majority of students who join our service line have an accounting major. However, we may also consider students studying commerce, economics and finance. You are required to complete your Chartered Accounting qualification to work in Assurance so if you do not have an accounting major, we will support you to complete the Graduate Certificate of Chartered Accounting Foundations prior to commencing the Chartered Accounting Program.

Within Assurance, you can also apply for positions within our Climate Change & Sustainability Services area if you are studying climate change/sustainability, civil/environmental engineering or environmental science.

Tax

Within our Tax division, we consider students studying accounting, commerce, economics, finance, law or science. Many students with a combined law/accounting degree find that Tax and People Advisory Services is a good fit for their skills and areas of interest. If you’re studying economics you could consider career opportunities in Transfer Pricing. We also look for students studying information systems, information technology, engineering and science in Research and Development.

Our Assurance team look for students with an accounting or economics major. You will be expected to commence the Chartered Accounting Program shortly after joining EY.

Within Assurance, our Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services team looks for students who may have an accounting, forensic accounting/investigations background or those studying computer forensics or computer/network security degrees. Computer Science is also extremely valuable.

You can also apply for positions within our Climate Change & Sustainability Services area if you are studying accounting, civil/environmental engineering, climate change/sustainability, commerce, economics, environmental science, geology, geophysics or political science and have a genuine interest in this area.

Tax

In Tax, we recruit from a wide range of degrees. Many students who join Tax come from an accounting, actuarial sciencecommerce/business, finance, law or maths background. Our Transfer Pricing practice also encourages students with an economics background to apply. Our Indirect Tax team look for those with accounting, commerce, or computer science backgrounds.

We also look for students studying business information systems, chemical engineering, computer science, geology, geophysics, information technologyelectrical/software engineering and petroleum engineering in our Tax Research and Development team.

Students with a background in law may be interested in joining our EY Law team. 

Advisory
