Wednesday 18 September 2013 — EY today announced the appointment of Joana Valente to the role of Advisory Partner, Canberra.

Joana has over eighteen years’ experience working with multinational IT service providers to deliver IT-enabled business transformation across the Australian public sector.

With a background in business strategy and management, Joana has worked with senior executives and departmental secretaries on projects to improve government policy effectiveness across a broad range of sectors including social security, border protection, health, central government and service delivery.

She has extensive experience advising senior levels of the public sector on effectively leveraging private and government partnerships, using analytics to inform policy design and delivery, and driving value from IT-enabled business transformation.

EY Canberra Managing Partner, Lucille Halloran said: “In the current environment, IT-enabled transformation is a key focus area for many government departments.”

“Joana’s wealth of experience across the public and private sectors gives her a unique perspective on the challenges our clients are facing, particularly when it comes to getting more from data and IT service providers when operating under tight fiscal constraints.”

“Working with our Canberra team, Joana will help our clients unlock increased value from IT service providers, drive strategic business benefits and improve policy design and delivery. I am pleased to welcome her to EY.”
