Leading the Next Generation of Talent

Heidi Grant, Social Cognitive Psychologist, EY Director of Learning Research and Development

Recruiting, retaining and leading talent present challenges for most organisations. Furthermore, millennials and Gen Z will dominate the workforce by 2025. In this workshop, Heidi Grant shares on the Growth Mindset philosophy for effectively leading the next generation of talent.

Every organisation wants to be innovative as well as always adapting and embracing the changes needed to ensure its success now and in the future. To do this, leaders need to cultivate the right mindset. The Growth Mindset is not about growth as a business, but rather growth as an individual, who believes that the point of the work they do every day is ‘not to prove’ but ‘to improve’. When leaders embrace a Growth Mindset, research shows that they naturally welcome smart risks and are less afraid of failure. Further, leaders are more agile and resilient in the face of change and challenge; they also experience greater well-being.

Heidi teaches how to develop a personal Growth Mindset as well as a Growth Mindset culture that bridges the gap between generations.
