Working on projects that will impact a large part of the world and the transformation of an industry is why Alexandra chose EY Parthenon.

The role as a senior consultant at EY-Parthenon has given Alexandra a seat at the table with some of the people who inspire her the most in the business world.

Whether it’s digital transformation, sector convergence and dislocation, or financial and operational complexities, being part of an EY-Parthenon team means bringing analytics to a CEO's toughest strategic issues.

Solving problems at the very core of or client’s business means that you get to work with the very best. The pressure is high, the stakes are high, but so are the rewards.

–     I think it's such a confirmation when I can read about projects that I've been part of on the news or in the newspaper. Those hours that you put in that work you did, it actually paid off.

With great challenges comes great people.

Taking on great challenges early on in your career can seem daunting, but Alexandra explains that having a team you trust and feel safe with is key to keep motivation and confidence up. At EY Parthenon you are allowed to try and fail early on, and you never work alone. The strong work culture goes beyond the office walls.

–      I like to work together with people. That's what drives me a lot. Every Friday, we go on afterworks together and do a lot of fun activities also outside work. So many people are actually friends also outside of these office walls.

Magnus Ellström, partner at EY Parthenon confirms this.

–      When we work together, we have a very flat structure. We all sit in the same office landscape and really try to exchange ideas and experiences across ranks.

And no matter your rank or position, a challenge is always welcome. Ellström welcomes young professionals to be curios, and never be afraid to challenge established ways of working. That’s the path to personal development and how we as a company can live up to our purpose “building a better working world”

–      It's interesting to see over the course of a project or several years, how my colleagues are getting better and better in solving problems and also challenging me.

Balance is key.

–      It's very important to balance between work and your free time. I think we are constantly helping each other to find that balance and to make sure that you can log off because without our well-being we will not be able to support our clients.

For Alexandra, recharging new energy can mean logging off and rolling out a yoga mat or gathering her friends around her kitchen island and cooking.

–      I like to live after my personal motto: Life is too short for bad wine and dry pastries. I’m good at getting the most out of both life and work. If I didn’t, I could not do it.
