Green Biofuels Limited – in Administration (“the Company”)

On 2 October 2023, the Company entered Administration and Lucy Winterborne, Kristopher Stewart Aspin and Alan Michael Hudson of Ernst & Young LLP were appointed as Joint Administrators. The appointment was made by the Qualifying Floating Charge Holder under the provisions of Paragraph 14 of Schedule B1 to the Insolvency Act 1986.

On 22 November 2023, the Joint Administrators completed a sale of the UK business and certain related assets of the Company to an undisclosed third party (“the Purchaser”).

Customers

For any outstanding invoices relating to fuel delivered prior to 22 November 2023, please use the Company’s regular bank account details as specified on the invoices.

Creditors and suppliers

Please note that debts incurred by the Company before our appointment will classify as unsecured claims against the Company.

If you wish to make a claim as a creditor, you may do so by requesting a Unique ID by sending an email to GBF@uk.ey.com. Alternatively, you may complete and return the proof of debt claim form located in the 'Company Documents' section below and send it by email to GBF@uk.ey.com, Please ensure that all documents in support of your claim are provided alongside your proof of debt claim form.

All goods and services provided from 2 October to 22 November 2023 will be paid for subject to them being prior approved by the Joint Administrators. The Joint Administrators will not be liable for any services provided or goods ordered from 23 November 2023 onwards.

Yes, all goods and services provided from 2 October 2023 to 22 November 2023 will be paid for subject to them being prior approved by the Joint Administrators. The costs of goods and services provided from 23 November 2023 will be the responsibility of the purchaser, please contact your usual GBF staff member in this regard.

Who are the Administrators?

Will there be a distribution to creditors for their pre-appointment debts?

At this stage, we are unable to confirm if there will be sufficient floating charge realisations to generate a prescribed part dividend. A further update will be provided in the Joint Administrators’ progress report.

 

The affairs, business and property of the Company are being managed by the Joint Administrators, Lucy Winterborne, Kris Aspin and Alan Hudson, who act as agents of the Company only and without personal liability.
Lucy Winterborne and Alan Hudson are licensed in the United Kingdom to act as insolvency practitioners, by The Insolvency Practitioners Association. Kris Aspin is licensed in the United Kingdom to act as an insolvency practitioner by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. As Insolvency Practitioners, they are bound by the Insolvency Code of Ethics in carrying out all professional work relating to the appointment.
The Joint Administrators may act as data controllers of personal data as defined by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (as incorporated in the Data Protection Act 2018), depending upon the specific processing activities undertaken. Ernst & Young LLP and/or the Company may act as a data processor on the instructions of the Joint Administrators. Personal data will be kept secure and processed only for matters relating to the Joint Administrators’ appointment.
