Adara Group

Elected a Global Leader of Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum in 1995, Audette Exel founded the Adara Group in 1998. As one of the world’s leading examples of a partnership between business and a nonprofit, the Adara Group touches the lives of more than 50,000 women and children living in poverty each year.

Audette’s business career spans law, banking, insurance and social entrepreneurship. She was Managing Director of one of Bermuda’s three banks — one of the youngest women to have run a publicly traded bank — and was Chair of the Bermuda Stock Exchange. Audette also is a Non-Executive Director of Suncorp, an ASX20 company.

She was NSW Telstra Businesswoman of the Year 2012 and was one of The Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence in 2012. In 2013, Audette was awarded an honorary Order of Australia for service to humanity and in 2014 was recognized by Forbes as a Hero of Philanthropy. In 2015, she was inducted into the Australian Businesswomen’s Hall of Fame and was a recipient of a World Class New Zealander Award. In 2016, Audette was named Australia’s 2016 Leading Philanthropist by Philanthropy Australia. Learn more about Adara Group here:
