Charles Kittredge is Chairman of the Board and former Chief Executive Officer of Crane & Co. He is a sixth-generation descendent of Zenas Crane, who founded the company in 1801.
With its headquarters in Massachusetts and facilities in New Hampshire, Georgia, New York City, Malta and Sweden, Crane & Co. specializes in the manufacture of banknote papers, printed banknotes, passports and counterfeit-deterrent security features. Crane has been making currency paper for the US since 1879, and the company holds contracts with a variety of central banks around the globe.
Crane also markets the finest cotton stationery products for social and business uses, distributing its stationery through 3,000 stationery accounts and on the internet. Crane’s Technical Materials Division makes high-performance glass and polypropylene products for filtration and insulation applications.
Charles is a director for other family businesses in the US and also serves on the boards of several nonprofit entities. He is a graduate of Harvard University.
